Promise Technology (Chinese: 喬鼎資訊) is an American-Taiwanese company, which supplies RAID storage.
The company's website states it was founded in 1988 in San Jose, California.
History[edit]
- 2012 Introduced the Pegasus J2, portable Thunderbolt-enabled storage.[1] Also released the Pegasus J4; the first 4-bay 2.5” HDD Thunderbolt storage.[2]

VTrak[edit]
The VTrak E-Class is used in film and video post-production. The performance and capacity of the VTrak E-Class scalable.[3]
Vess[edit]
The Vess storage system is used in surveillance applications and can handle unstructured data, disk-to-disk backup.[4]
Pegasus[edit]
Pegasus R4 and R6 are 4-bay and 6-bay RAID featuring Promise's proprietary "Thunderbolt technology", which is also included in the other products of the "Pegasus" line.[5] Thunderbolt technology is a dual-protocol I/O technology and is capable of delivering two channels of 10 Gbit/s (1.25 GB/s) per port of perfomance.[6]
The Pegasus J2 is a smaller, and more portable product from the Pegasus line, [7] whilst the Pegasus J4 is a 4-bay storage system for 2.5” HDD or SSD drives.[8]The J4 was announced at CeBIT 2012.[9]
The Promise SANLink adapter provides dual 4G Fibre Channel connectivity connected to a "Thunderbolt" port.[10]
