"Nikola Stoyanov" (Bulgarian: Никола Стоянов; born 15 March 1996), also known by his artistic names "Nicholas Stoyanov" and "Necrotix", is a Bulgarian multidisciplinary creator, train engineer, designer, and poet. He is best known for his dark-themed poetry projects До моята Луна (To My Moon) and Гарванова История (Raven Story), as well as for his digital persona Dr Necrotix[1] in online art and gaming communities.
Early life
Nikola Stoyanov was born in the town of Karnobat, Burgas region, Bulgaria. During his childhood, his family moved to Burgas, where he was exposed to the growing influence of digital culture and local subcultural art scenes. Later, he returned to Karnobat and completed his secondary education at "Hristo Botev High School" in Karnobat, Burgas region.
Education
Stoyanov studied Digital Design at SoftUni Creative and later continued his professional technical education at the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Sofia, specializing in locomotive systems and rail engineering.
Career
According to his professional CV,[2] Stoyanov has held several technical and operational positions:
- CNC/CPU Operator and Programmer at KAMT AD (2016–2018)
- Train Operator at BDZ Cargo (2019–2022)
- Operator LK32 at Mini Maritsa Iztok AD (2022–present)
His technical expertise includes the operation of CNC hydraulic machines, CAD/G-code programming, and locomotive management (series 43x, 44x, 46x, 80x, 81x). Parallel to his industrial work, he developed a professional path in digital media, creative design, and content creation.
Artistic life
Under the artistic alias "Dr Necrotix", Stoyanov expresses himself through poetry, digital art, and dark-themed aesthetics inspired by cyber culture, gaming, and introspective storytelling. His poetry collection "До моята Луна" (To My Moon) was first published as a digital project and described by the author as “мрачна поезия… за сега е само дигитален проект” ("dark poetry… for now only a digital project").[3] His second literary project, "Гарванова История" (Raven Story), expands his poetic universe into a symbolic narrative exploring decay, rebirth, and identity.[4]
Stoyanov describes his artistic philosophy through his online platforms as an attempt to “find beauty in imperfection and rebirth through ruin,” aligning with the symbolic meaning of his moniker MrNecrotic.

Nikola (Nicholas) Stoyanov maintains a notable digital presence through his online handles dr.necrotix and mr.necrotix. His official Instagram account @dr.necrotix features his poetry and dark-themed designs, amassing a following of over 80,000 users as of 2025.[3] His YouTube channel, also titled the.necrotic, presents his dual identity as a train engineer and creative digital artist, with the self-description: “Hello, my name is Nikola. I’m a train operator and in my free time, I like to do graphic design, partial website development, and play video games.”[5]
Personal life
Stoyanov currently resides in Kermen[6] and frequently travels to Karnobat[7], Burgas[8] and Sofia[9] for work and creative projects. Outside his professional and artistic work, he dedicates his time to gaming, digital design, and writing. He describes himself as introverted and nocturnal, finding inspiration in silence, solitude, and late-night creative sessions. His philosophy combines structure from his engineering background with emotion and symbolism from his art, defining a unique harmony between the mechanical and the poetic.
