Nick Crompton (born February 5, 1995)[1] is an English businessman, YouTuber and former rapper who is the co-founder of Social Chain[2] and served as the Chief Operations Officer of Team 10 until his unexpected departure on May 4, 2018.[3][4]

Early life[edit]

Crompton was born and raised in Bradford, West Yorkshire, England, where he also attended and finished his schooling.[5] He attended Salt Grammar School in Baildon. After co-founding Social Chain in 2015, Crompton moved to Los Angeles, California to further pursue his online career in the entertainment industry.[6]

Career[edit]

"It's Everyday Bro" and memes (2017)[edit]

In 2017, Crompton came to public attention after rapping the line "England is my city" in Jake Paul's song "It's Everyday Bro", which also featured other members of Team 10.[7] Soon after, the lyric as well as Crompton became an Internet meme.[8][9]

Resignation (2018)[edit]

On May 4, 2018, Crompton publicly announced his departure and resignation from being the Chief Operations Officer of Team 10. His departure was a result of "internal changes" within the company that he did not personally agree with.[10][11][12] Part of his statement read "Due to internal changes being made within our various businesses that I don't agree with, I have resigned as both the Chief Operations Officer and as talent. I still love my Team 10 family but the vision for the business, people involved and direction it's now going in, no longer makes sense to me".[13] In response to a Tweet made by Greg Paul regarding business audits, Crompton responded, stating: "But nobody had an issue with you auditing? People had issue with being verbally abused, watching their coworkers be fired around them and not being kept in the loop. Business 101, communication. Everytime you publicly post to try make myself or the team look bad, I will respond."[14][15] Jake Paul has since admitted that "Yes, there's drama, but I've come to a point in my life in where I just want everyone to succeed" and letting his father on board "not to run my business and be in charge but simply to look over the shoulders of other people who were in my businesses."[16][17]

Solo career (2018)[edit]

Crompton has since begun to work on his own solo career in the entertainment industry. In his resignation statement, he wrote: "I have new projects in the pipeline if any investors are interested and I'm also open to any other interesting opportunities".[18] On July 26, 2018, Crompton appeared on the show Mom's Basement with Shane Dawson discussing details of his departure and his solo career.[19] Crompton is also featured in Dawson's new docuseries, The Mind of Jake Paul.[20]
