Nick Dixon is an English-born Canadian news anchor and reporter. He is currently a weekend news anchor and reporter for CTV Toronto. Prior to CTV, he was a reporter and anchor working for CP24.
Dixon started working for CP24 in 2016. From 2004 to 2016 he was with CHCH-TV, as a reporter and anchor of the 11pm News. Before that, he was the Queen's Park reporter at CHCH-TV's then-sister station Global Toronto. When Dan McLean retired in late 2008, Dixon took over anchoring CHCH-TV's 6pm evening news, while continuing as anchor of the 11pm News.
He was embedded with the Canadian Navy in Haiti in February 2010 to cover the 2010 Port-au-Prince earthquake. He wrote and produced a documentary called Hope For Haiti.[1]
Dixon also reported for CNN and Fox News on the NHL suspension of Todd Bertuzzi.[1]
On May 24, 2016, news broke that Dixon would be leaving CHCH to join Bell Media's CP24 channel as a reporter and anchor. This was first tweeted by CTV's Kevin Newman. Dixon tweeted on September 5, 2018 that he is joining CTV Toronto as a weekend news anchor, starting in October 2018.
Dixon's final show at CHCH was June 3, 2016.
