Nick Dreshaj is the captain and manager of Drita SC in the Michigan Premier Soccer League.[1] He is the also the son of former Detroit Express player Alex Dreshaj and the brother of Oakland University and Michigan Bucks midfielder John Dreshaj.[2][3]
Career[edit]
Nick Dreshaj began his career right out of high school on a scholarship to Tiffin University in the NCAA Division II. Despite playing both kicker/punter for his high school football team, Nick chose to play soccer instead.
Nick went on to play two seasons for the Tiffin Dragons as a center forward. He transferred after his second season to his hometown team at the University of Detroit Mercy. He finished his last few college years playing for the UofD Titans.
After a successful college soccer career, he found a small connection to FK Decic in Montenegro. He went on to play a preseason there and was even featured as a late substitute in a few league games before leaving the club.
In 2018, Nick and his brother John Dreshaj founded the MPSL side, Drita SC (originally named Besa FC) in March of 2018.[4]
