Nick Quijano (pronounced "Kee-Hano") aka Sci55ors is an American guitarist who has played with bands such as Powerman 5000, The Dreaming (featuring members of Stabbing Westward), and American Head Charge. Nick has also starred on the first season of the 2018 Comedy Central television show, "the Comedy Jam" as the lead guitarist for the band which played alongside notable acts such as Chester Benngington of Linkin Park, Rob Halford of Judas Priest, DMX, and Scott Stapp of Creed. Quijano has a signature custom guitar made in the ESP Guitars custom shop in Japan as well as an class A, full endorsement with the company.
Career[edit]
American Head Charge[edit]
Quijano took over as guitarist and toured with the band from 2005-2006 in both the United States and for the European Occupation Tour in the United Kingdom.
The Dreaming[edit]
The Dreaming formed in mid 2001 prior the dissolution of Christopher Hall's band Stabbing Westward on February 9, 2002. Chris and Johnny Haro, who had briefly filled in on drums in Stabbing Westward in 1998, took to the studio to record demos for his new project. Jinxx left the group in mid-2009 and later join Black Veil Brides; he was replaced by former American Headcharge-guitarist Nick Quijano in 2011.
Powerman 5000[edit]
Builders of the Future was released on May 27, 2014 on and was co-produced/co-written by guitarist Nick Quijano Sci55ors, as well as engineered and co-produced by Evan Rodaniche Evan9, both former guitarists. Quijano was the guitarist of the band from 2011-2017.[1]
Other Projects[edit]
Quijano is also a co-founder, co-writer, co-producer, and guitarist of the band Hail Sagan, which fronted is by vocalist and co-founder, Sagan Amery, and is known for its anti-bullying and suicide prevention theme. Hail Sagan was signed to EMP Label Group in 2016 which is owned by Megadeth bassist David Ellefson. Revolving members of the group include drummer Mike Dupke of W.A.S.P., John Mellencamp, and Dee Snider, as well as guitarist Ted Hallows of American Head Charge.
