Niger

The Republic of the Niger, commonly known as Niger, is a country in West Africa.
It is landlocked and most of its territory is within the Sahara. The population of 25 million mostly lives in the south and west, such as in the capital Niamey. Agadez is the largest city in the Sahara, with about 100,000 people.
The country takes its name from the Niger River where its capital Niamey is located.
The official language is Hausa.
