Jane Marczewski (born c. 1990), known professionally as Nightbirde, is an American singer and songwriter. She is best known for receiving a Golden Buzzer after singing her original song "It's OK" during her audition on America's Got Talent in 2021.[1]
Early life and career[edit]
Jane Marczewski was born in the United States and is from Zanesville, Ohio.[2] She graduated from Liberty University.[3] According to Marczewski, she has had cancer three times.[4][5]
In June 2021, Marczewski performed as Nightbirde for America's Got Talent during the series' 16th season auditions. She received a Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell for her performance of her original song "It's OK".[6] The song became No. 1 on iTunes and No. 2 trending on YouTube.[3]
At the time she appeared on AGT, Marczewski had been diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, spine and liver and had been given a 2% chance of survival.[7] In August 2021, before she could compete in the show's quarterfinal round, Marczewski withdrew from the competition, citing her health was worsening.[8]
