Nikhat Mariyam Neerushaa (born 2 November 1974) is an Indian (Bollywood) costume designer and stylist.

Neerushaa was nominated for the Indian Telly Awards in the Best Costume Designer multiple times while working in both film and television. [citation needed] Her designs have been featured in television period dramas, including costumes for a production of Sense and Sensibility. [citation needed]

Early life

Neerushaa was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. She earned a master's degree in Medieval History at the University of Allahabad.[citation needed]

Career

Neerushaa began her career in theater and television productions. She started designing clothes while working as an assistant costume director for the television series Amrapali, as well as the film Jodhaa Akbar.[citation needed][1] This led to a change in career paths from directing to designing. She began by designing clothes for the television series Hatim and then designed clothing for more than 40 shows and movies, a number of them based on Indian history.[citation needed]
