Nikisha Jariwala (Hindi: निकीशा जरीवाला, Gujarati: નિકિશા જરીવાલા) (born 14 November 1985) is an Indian scientist. Jariwala is a professor in Smt. Tanuben & Dr. Manubhai Trivedi College of Information Science, affiliated to Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Surat, Gujarat, India. She is recognized for her work in devising a computer model for converting Indian text into Braille [1].[2]
Education & Research[edit]
A post graduate from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, she completed her masters in computer application at Shrimad Rajchandra Institute of Management and Computer Application in Bardoli, Gujarat, India, and Ph.D. in computer science and information technology from Uka Tarsadia University in Bardoli.[3].Her work on on translating Indian regional languages in Braille,[4][5] was supported through a grant from The Gujarat Council on Science and Technology[6] [7][8][9][10].

- 2016: Trend Setter award for innovative means "Transliteration of Gujarati text into Braille An aid for Visually Impaired Patients" from GIS (Gujarat Innovation Society) [11].
