Nikola Miljanić

Nikola Miljanić (Livađani near Pakrac, January 5, 1921 - Zagreb, July 6, 1972) was a Serbian economist.

Graduated in 1955 and received his doctorate in 1964 at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb. From 1941 he participated in NOB. After the war, General Director of the Yugoslav Investment Bank (1962), Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia (1962–69) and Vice President of the Federal Executive Council (1969–71). At the end of 1970, he resigned due to disagreement with the economic policy of the government.

He was a federal deputy and member of the Central Committee of the SKJ since 1964. Taught finance at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb since 1962. Author of the book Money and credit in the process of extended reproduction (1972).
