Nikolai Potolovsky

Nikolai Sergeevich Potolovsky (Russian: Николай Сергеевич Потоловский, IPA: /nʲikolaj sʲergʲejevʲit͡ɕ potolofskʲij/; 8 April 1878, in Moscow – 7 January 1927, in Moscow) was a Russian composer, Professor and Cellist.
Life and Career
In 1904 Potolovsky graduated from The Music and Drama School of the Moscow Philharmonic Society, where he studied Cello Playing and Composition[1]. In 1906 he joined the faculty of the school, until 1912 when he became a professor.[1]
