Fictional Biography

Nila (played by Amy Jackson) is an andro humanoid robot created by Dr. Vaseegaran (played by Rajinikanth) for assistance. The robot is named "Nila" as short for "Nice, intelligent, loving assistant."

Nila is first introduced to a group of college students by Vaseegaran, and he explains her capabilities and reminisces about Chitti. He further explains (in fact, to the audience) that she is made in response to his dismantled creation, Chitti.

Later, due to unforeseen events, the city falls into grave trouble, which compels Vaseegaran to suggest reactivating Chitti, which was dismantled eight years ago, to stop the antagonist Pakshi Rajan (played by Akshay Kumar).

After the reactivation of Chitti, a series of events occur which involve the antagonist and protagonist fighting against each other. Even after the successful attempt of containing Pakshi Rajan, Chitti gets defeated.

This gives Nila an idea, with Vaseegaran, to reactivate Chitti again by writing an unclear message on a car scrap. Nila then immediately goes to Vaseegaran's lab and reprograms Chitti to its 2.0 alter ego (previously seen eight years ago), and alters it to not harm the public but to fight Pakshi Rajan. Later, Nila also releases Kutti bots created by Chitti into the stadium where the vengeful fight between the antagonist and protagonist takes place.

Finally, after Pakshi Rajan is defeated and Chitti returns to his original form, Nila and Chitti fall in love, which is termed a techno love story in the media.[4]
