Nimbus Rooftop Bar is a rooftop cocktail bar located on level 3 of Mitchell Street in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. Development on the bar began in mid-2019, with the bar officially opening on 27 January 2020. Nimbus is credited as being the only rooftop bar in central Victoria to date.
History
An official Australian Business Number (ABN) for Bendigo Rooftop Pty Ltd was registered on 16 July 2019.[1] On 1 November 2019, a planning permission for development was issued, with the owners of the establishment Handle Bar planning its construction.[2] On 27 January 2020, Nimbus opened for the first time,[3] becoming the first rooftop bar in central Victoria.[4]

Critical reception
Australian culture magazine Broadsheet felt that "the laid-back food and drinks offering pairs well with the unpretentiousness of the space."[5] Ranking the bar at number 3 on their list of "Australia's 10 standout rooftop bars", Escape described Nimbus as "a taste of the night-life synonymous with the city without the hassle of a two-hour commute home afterwards for locals."[4] Tim Richards, writing for the New Daily, praised the drinks menu as "[balancing] well-known cocktails with interesting house concoctions."[6]
