Shaun Harrington (born 26 May 1985), known professionally as Number 1 Crane Driver, is an Australian born Crane Operator who has dominated the industry since 2006 in both Victoria and Queensland. He is now employed under the books of huge formwork player I&D Group, and it is well known within their ranks that he is highly rated by Director Ivan Filipovic.
He has put together a tight crew referred to as "the Garys". Together they now boast some talented names as Foreman Claude, Princess Weston and currently missing in action, the number one toughest man in the construction industry, Frenchie.
From Favcos to Jost's, there isn't a crane Shaun hasn't mastered. His peers believe that he was moulded by the Crane Gods and that all Leading Hands and Foremans across Australia are just counting their blessings hoping he graces their jobs with his Godlike operating skills. Once, he was recorded lifting a 30 tonne precast panel in 30mps winds and landing it on the bars on his own. The video has since been lost and unrecovered, but multiple sources explain it as being "mindblowing".
He also floats around pubs in Richmond, Victoria and is well known to be interested in mums, but who could blame their mum for bringing home such an iconic figure.[1]
