Niteen Dedhia is an Ophthalmology specialist and Medical Director of OJAS Laser Eye Surgery Centre[1] based in Bandra and Kandivali.[2]
Medical career
Dedhia has a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery graduate degree. He selected specialization in Ophthalmology as a specialty in medicine. He has gained recognition for various advanced eye correction and Lasik treatments.[3]
He attended an American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) meeting in San Francisco and was admitted as an international member of the ASCRS.[1]
International conference and meetings
In May 1999, he attended the ASCRS meeting at Seattle, USA and presented a paper on ‘Simultaneous Bilateral Cataract Surgery by Phacoemulsification.[1]
Malpractice lawsuits
In 2009, the Maharashtra Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission found Dedhia guilty of negligence and ordered him to pay 12 lakh rupees to two patients who had lost sight in one eye following surgery.[4]
