Nitin Kumar Gupta is a medical doctor from King Edward Memorial Hospital and Seth Gordhandas Sunderdas Medical College in Mumbai [4] [5].

Film Music[edit]

Nitin Kumar Gupta composed, wrote and recorded songs for films like Aashiqui.in, Road to Sangam and Shakal Pe Mat Ja with top Indian playback singers including Sukhwinder Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Alka Yagnik, Zubeen Garg.[6]

Nitin Gupta directed and featured in Marathi film industry's first animated and live mixed music video Bewda Bewda which he also composed.[7]

His song, Dabang Style, a spoof on Gangnam Style meets Salman Khan from Dabang, went viral on YouTube, as reported in The Times of India.[8] The song was written and sung by him under the nickname N.K.G.

Nitin Kumar Gupta received the award for Best Foreign Film Original Score at 'Los Angeles Reel Film Festival' for the songs of Road to Sangam announced on 30 December 2009[9]

Direction and production[edit]

Nitin Kumar Gupta collaborated frequently with actor Rahul Roy and directed 4 films with him, ‘Sayonee’, ‘Walk’, ‘L.A.C’ and ‘Death of an Ambassador’.[10] [5][11]

In 2018, Nitin Gupta directed 'Welcome To Russia', filmed in Russia, starring Rahul Roy in a negative role and featuring the Sayonee song by Pakistani band Junoon sung by Arijit Singh.[12][13][14][15][16][17][excessive citations]

In July 2020 Nitin Gupta filmed the film Walk with Rahul Roy based on the migrant workers affected by the pandemic lockdown in India.[18][19][20][21][22][23][24][excessive citations]

In November 2020 Nitin Gupta filmed the film LAC based on Indian border forces which is Hindi film industry's first film seen in a single shot.[25][26][27][28][29][excessive citations] The film was shot at Kargil after an extensive recce of 11 cities. [30][2][31]

On 1 November 2020 Nitin Kumar Gupta released the trailer of his film Sayonee featuring the hit song Sayonee by the band Junoon, sung by Arijit Singh.[32][33][34][35][excessive citations] Nitin Kumar Gupta's film Sayonee released in theatres on 18 December 2020, and was one of the first films to release theatrically in India after the lockdown.
