Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) is an international non-governmental organization sited in Baku.

Establishment[edit]

The Nizami Ganjavi International Center was established within the framework of the "Nizami Ganjavi" year, dedicated to the 870th anniversary of the Persian poet Nizami Ganjavi, who is considered to be the greatest romantic epic poet in Persian literature, at a special meeting held on 30 September 2012, at the poet's hometown Ganja. [1]

NGIC unites former heads of state and government and influential international experts.

Nizami Ganjavi International Award[edit]

In 2012, The Nizami Ganjavi International Center established the "Nizami Ganjavi International Award" to present to personalities and institutions that "embody the values that Nizami Ganjavi promoted through his poetry."[7]
