Nobin Paul (born 11 April 1983) is a music composer known for his work in the Kannada and Malayalam film industries.

Paul was born in Kottayam, Kerala.

Career[edit]

Nobin Paul embarked on his journey in the field of composition, starting with radio jingles and television commercials, where he accumulated an impressive portfolio of over 1,000 jingles.[1][2]

Nobin Paul's talent soon caught the attention of critics and audiences alike, leading him to debut as a composer in 2016 with director D. Satya Prakash's critically acclaimed film Rama Rama Re.... This marked the beginning of a fruitful career. The soundtrack of Rama Rama Re became one of his notable works, further establishing his reputation in the industry.[2][3]

Paul has composed for film scores, background music, and original soundtracks. His work has been featured in numerous films. Apart from Rama Rama Re..., he has contributed his musical talents to other notable projects such as Ondalla Eradalla, Churikatte, Devaki, and Katha Sangama.[4][5]

One of the highlights of Nobin Paul's career is the film 777 Charlie, where he composed music in five different languages. The song "Torture Song" from 777 Charlie was performed by Vijay Prakash in Kannada, Swaroop Khan in Hindi, Ram Miriyala in Telugu, Jassie Gift in Malayalam, and Gana Balachandar in Tamil. This multilingual project garnered widespread acclaim.[6][7]

Paul marked his smashing debut into the Malayalam film industry in 2023, with the success of the Malayalam movie '2018 (film)' which became the highest-grossing film in the history of Malayalam Cinema. Along with the gigantic box office success of the film, Nobin's music got wide-level critical acclaim.[8][9][10]
