Nobobangla

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Nobobangla is an alphabetic, conjunct-free style of using the Bengali script. The nobobangla alphabet consists of 8 vowels and 37 consonants.

In nobobangla, vowels are always written as separate letters, and always appear after the consonant. They are written the same in initial and medial position. There is no inherent vowel; consonants stand only for themselves, unlike the norm for Brahmi scripts.

For example, nobobangla is written ণা̆বা̆বাঙলা n-o-b-o-b-a-ŋ-l-a, whereas in standard Bengali orthography it would be ণববাংলা n-b-b-a-ᵑ-l-a.
