Noon Shift are an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 2014 by Nick Lowe (Vocals & Guitar), Will Abbott (Drums), Michael Sramek (Bass) and later joined by Thomas Rusin (Guitar)
Formation
The band was formed at Oakhill College in Castle Hill, New South Wales in 2014 by Nicholas Lowe, William Abbott, Michael Sramek, Jon Nati and Ethan Coombs. Ethan left the group later that year. Jon Nati was replaced by Thomas Rusin in 2019.[1]
In 2018 whilst still attending high school, the Noon Shift recorded their debut EP “Fuse”[2]. With the success of their leading single “Save Me”, which to date has gathered upwards of 170,000 streams[3], Noon Shift hunkered down in Nick’s bedroom studio to record the rest of the EP. After going through the relaxed motions of recording at home, Noon Shift released Fuse to the world. Since then, they joined forces with local guitarist Tom and have had their recorded music and live performances catch the attention of The Harbour Agency, X-Factor winners and VIA Music Group.[4]
Musical Style and Influences
Noon Shift describe themselves as an indie/rock and roll band and cite Foo Fighters, Gang of Youths and Chris Cornell as major influences[5]
