The Noord-Hinder (Lightship 12) is the last lightvessel built in the Netherlands. The ship was built in 1963 at De Waal shipyard in Zaltbommel and thoroughly renovated and fully automated in 1981 by Hoogenraad and Kuyt shipyard in Scheveningen. On 21 March 1994, this last Dutch lightvessel was finally taken from the sea and is now a museum ship in Hellevoetsluis.[1]
