Norman Link (born 1959) is an American yongmudo practitioner and a teacher in the University of California Martial Arts Program (UCMAP).[1]
Life[edit]
Link was raised in the San Francisco Bay area. He began practicing martial arts in 1968 and in 1977 started cooperating with University of California at Berkeley's Martial Arts Program with more than 1000 students and six martial arts. During his career at Berkeley he served in various positions from program administrator to tournament director in several events. While his primary interest is in Hapkido/Yongmudo he has also spent time practicing Jujitsu, Taekwondo, and Iaido. He has also taught in self-defense and rape prevention classes. Link now serves as a head instructor and associate director for the Yongmudo program. He has a doctorate in biomedical/electrical engineering from Carnegie Mellon and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and has done research in cancer research. Link is a Senior Scientist at a Bay area company.[2][3]
