Not Actively Looking launched in 2015 as the first confidential database where senior executives could self-manage their own profile and share it with selected executive search firms. The GDPR rules, which came into force in May 2018, served to highlight the importance of user control over data privacy.
In 2017, Not Actively Looking expanded its offering to senior executives by developing its Career Management Portal – an extensive collection of online resources for senior executives to go to for career tips and advice. As well as access to 150+ video interviews with a variety of speakers, and articles, Not Actively Looking also started to run regular, monthly webinars with guest speakers on a variety of topics.
In 2019, as well as remaining a place for senior executives to connect with executive search firms, Not Actively Looking has become a career development marketplace for executives. Not Actively Looking offers a wide range of career services in-house, including Career Transition Reviews and practical skills help, such as CV and LinkedIn Writing Services and interview training. Not Actively Looking also offers access to a selected Directory of internationally based Executive Coaches.
Not Actively Looking appears on the website of over 100 executive search firms, as an alternative solution for registering with the search firm.
