Notti Bop
Notti Bop
The Notti Bop is a popular New York drill dance mimicking the death of 14 year old Notti Osama after he got into a brawl on the 137th Street-City College Station leading to him getting stabbed to death on July 9, 2022. The dance involves balling both of your fists, then repeatedly punching your stomach from side to side as if you were clutching a knife and stabbing yourself.
Controversy
The Notti Bop is considered to be one of the most disrespectful dances in New York Drill. The dance quickly became viral on TikTok as it accompanied a drill song also named Notti Bop by 41 (Kyle Richh, Tata, Jenn Carter) where they diss Notti Osama and mock his death by repeatedly doing the Notti Bop in the music video. The song went viral almost as soon as it dropped, but was taken down after 3 days on YouTube due to copyright claims.
Background Information
The song was mainly a response to Notti Osama's song "41K" featuring his brother DD Osama. In this song Notti constantly sent insults and death threats to 41 and their crew. One being, "41K, y'all jacking them snitches, Ok y'all gonna get stitches."
