Nova Wing: 3031
Nova Wing: 3031 is a 2015 mobile game, developed for the iOS operating system by FIV3 Interactive, LLC, a small independent video game development company headquartered in Oklahoma City, OK. The game is an infinite side-scroller set in space whose primary mechanic requires tapping to keep the player from colliding with objects and from falling into a black hole. The player is also able to collect various power-ups which provide added benefit during gameplay.
The game was released to the Apple App Store August 17, 2015.[1] It is not currently available for download on the Android operating system.
Gameplay[edit]
Nova Wing: 3031 is an infinite side-scroller, wherein the player's ship continuously orbits a black hole. The objective of the game is to dodge asteroids and space debris and to stay out of the black hole's event horizon for as long as possible, where total game time loosely represents the player's score. Score is determined by the number of objects that the player has successfully dodged, and can be augmented with various items collected in-game. Initially, each obstacle that the player dodges increases the player's score by 1. By collecting a score multiplier, it is possible to increase the score added to a maximum of 5 points per obstacle.
Throughout the game, the player can complete various achievements by accomplishing a variety of tasks. Some of these achievements are hidden until completion, while others show how to complete them in the achievement description. Along with high score, these achievements will be reported to Apple's Game Center. Reporting score and achievement progress to Game Center allows players to compare with each other and compare their position within the global leaderboards.
As the game progresses and score increases, the game becomes progressively more difficult by causing obstacles to move more quickly across the screen. The difficulty can also be increased as a result of collecting score multipliers, where each multiplier causes more objects to appear on screen as the multiplier level increases.
