Nurea
Nurea is a French medical imaging software company and a spin-off from the National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (Inria),[1] founded in 2018 and based in Bordeaux.[2]
Overview
Nurea develops artificial intelligence (AI)–based analysis tools for computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of blood vessels used in vascular disease evaluation.[3][4]
In 2022, Nurea raised a funding round of €1 million supported by Bpifrance and other investors.[5]
In 2025, Nurea’s software obtained clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)[6] and is CE-marked in Europe since 2023.[7]
