Nuren Group is a Malaysian-based company that operates female oriented e-commerce and community websites, including a wedding portal and a baby product website.[1][2][3][4]

History[edit]

Nuren Group was founded in 2013 by Petrina Goh, Kelvin Leow, Stacey Lee, and Alice Ong.[5] It obtained seed funding in 2014.[6] In 2016 it raised an additional $2 million in a Series A funding round led by Gobi Partners,[7] and additional funding through crowdfunding platform Crowdo.[8][9]

Nuren originally launched in Malaysia and has since expanded into other countries in Southeast Asia.[1]

Platforms[edit]

The company operates three websites focused on life stages for women and consist of Wedding.com.my, Nuren.sg, Risawedding.com and Motherhood.com.my.[5]

Wedding.com.my is Nuren Group's online wedding portal. The website matches brides and wedding vendors and is monetized through fees paid by merchants.[6] The website originally launched in Malaysia and later expanded into other countries in Southeast Asia.[6][10] The website Nuren.sg was launched In Singapore and Risawedding in Thailand.[11]

Motherhood was launched in May 2016 and it is an e-commerce shop for baby products.[12] It also contains a marketplace and director for service providers.[5][10]
