OK a.m.b.a. is a cooperative based in Denmark. The coop has 11,600 members and dealers. OK is headquartered in Aarhus, and has 692 petrol filling stations around Denmark.
History
OK was formed on January 1, 1978, by merging seven smaller Danish energy companies.
Originally named Olieselskabet Danmark,[1] the company adopted OK's official name OK a.m.b.a. in 1998. The origin of the name stems from the Swedish Oljekonsumenterna which was a majority stakeholder in the company. Although there are no corporate relations anymore, the name proved popular and thus became official.
OK Petrol
OK is Denmark's leading petrol brand according to brand studies from 2016. Most filling stations are co-located with Coop supermarkets.
