O País do Futuro is the third studio album by the Brazilian rock band Flerte Fatal, released in 1999.
Tired of media persecution and stressed to the long duration of the previous tour, the band radicalized and released a concept album that tells the story of Brazil, counting from the arrival of the Portuguese caravels until the time the album was released. In addition, this record also demonstrates the maturity of the group, which invests in various music styles, like samba, blues, progressive rock, ska punk, reggae, folk rock and country. The album sold well, but was not well received by the media, thanks to its anti-commercial style, but was hailed by fans and even received some good reviews. The main hits were the title track, "Independência ou Morte", "Estados Unidos do Brasil", "Novos Horizontes" and "Ordem e Progresso".
