History
Oaperg Technology was founded on September 3, 2020, when the US company, Bamidelgroup (Bamidel) spun off a new arm to address the demands of its Enterprise IT Services business during the Global Pandemic. Oaperg's headquarters is in Lagos, Nigeria, and has operations across North America and Europe. The company began as a consulting and IT contracting firm. Oaperg further expanded into a full IT company after emerging from its US parent company. Bamidel leveraged its IT expertise and also began offering clients software services.
In 2020, Oaperg first started in Houston, Texas, becoming one of the fastest growing information technology companies in Texas.
In 2022, Oaperg expanded to Africa, starting with Lagos, Nigeria, making it the company's headquarters.[2] Oaperg also launched its Advanced Automatic Traffic system, which helps automate business processes and make informed decisions.[3][4]
Corporate responsibility
Oaperg Care Initiative is a unit of Oaperg that works towards improving the lives of people with disabilities and enhancing the quality of primary education. Oaperg's employees, assistive technologies, and associations helped in giving back to the community. The company recently sponsored over 200 students from public primary schools in Houston, Texas, and Lagos, Nigeria[5] by providing them with stationaries in preparation for a new school session. Employees joined the cause by donating books and other school items to students.[6]
