Oberschlesien is a Silesian industrial metal band formed in Piekary Śląskie, Poland in 2008. Musically, the group takes inspiration from the German band Rammstein.[1][2] The majority of their lyrics deal with the history, traditions and peculiarities of Upper Silesia and are sung in the Silesian language.[3]
Marcel Różanka, the founder of the band, cited Rammstein, Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Accept as their main influences.[4]
