From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Objectivism, the philosophy of Ayn Rand, has a following in several countries around the world. The Ayn Rand Institute has an established presence in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Israel. Additionally, Ayn Rand's novels have been translated into numerous major languages.

Asia

India

Objectivism has a notable following in India.[1]

Israel

Objectivism has a notable following in Israel. In October 2012, the Ayn Rand Institute established the Ayn Rand Center Israel to help promote Objectivism in Israel and the Middle East.[2] Additionally, both The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged have been translated into Hebrew.[3]

Ayn Rand and Objectivist intellectuals at the Ayn Rand Institute have generally taken a supportive stance of Israel in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.[4][5]

Europe

The Ayn Rand Institute launched the Ayn Rand Institute Europe in early 2015 to promote Objectivism in Europe.[6] ARI Europe has a presence in 38 European countries and is currently headquartered in southern France.[7][8]

The Ayn Rand Institute has also helped establish Objectivist clubs at European universities.[9]

Many of Rand's works, especially The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, have been translated into major European languages, including Albanian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Icelandic, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and Ukrainian.[3]

Additionally, Anthem has been translated into Esperanto.[10]

Russia

Although Ayn Rand was born and raised in Russia, Objectivism has little influence in the country.

Rand is, however, an acknowledged philosophical influence of the Democratic Union.[11] Valeriya Novodvorskaya repeatedly expressed admiration for Rand.[12]

United Kingdom

Objectivism has a small following in the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom Objectivist Association (UKOA) is one of the most notable British Objectivist organizations.[13]

Elan Journo, an Objectivist intellectual at the Ayn Rand Institute, is originally from the UK.

Rand's shortest novel, Anthem, was published in the United Kingdom before it was published in the United States.

Yaron Brook supported the Brexit decision.[14]

North America

Canada

Canada has a notable following of Objectivism. Many Objectivist intellectuals originate from Canada, including Leonard Peikoff, who Rand deemed her "intellectual heir". The Ayn Rand Institute established the Ayn Rand Institute Canada in Burnaby, British Columbia, to help promote Objectivism in Canada.

Guatemala

The Francisco Marroquín University Business School contains Atlas Libertas, a sculpture inspired by Atlas Shrugged.[15]

United States

Objectivism has a significant following in the United States, and the Objectivist movement originates in the country. The two most influential Objectivist institutions are based in the U.S.—the Ayn Rand Institute in Irvine, California, and The Atlas Society in Washington, D.C.. Additionally, Objectivism has had a significant impact on American politics.

Oceania

Australia

Objectivism has a small following in Australia. Among the famous Australians who have been influenced by Rand are Sonja Bernhardt and Malcolm Fraser.

New Zealand

Objectivism has a small following in New Zealand. The minor political party, Libertarianz, is influenced by Ayn Rand.[16] Lindsay Perigo, a founding member of Libertarianz, is a self-identified Objectivist. He founded an Objectivist group called Sense of Life Objectivists (SOLO).[17]
