Oblitus mortis is a 2025 metroidvania Venezuelan videogame. Inspired by Venezuelan myths and legends, the protagonist must face folklore monsters. It was released on Steam on 24 March 2025.

Oblitus mortis is inspired by Venezuelan myths and legends, the protagonist, El Espanto, must face folklore monsters such as La Llorona, Gottfried Knoche, and the mummies of Galipán. The player can use different hats and masks that improve the character's abilities, as well as find weapons unlock secrets after defeating enemies.[1][2]

Critical reception

Ronald Goncalves of Dualshockers says Oblitus Mortis, "presents scenarios and enemies that have likely never been depicted in the history of interactive media, with notable references to its current culture that allow you to connect with it on a deeper level than just entertainment" and "a truly niche game that will surprise you."[3]
