From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Observify is a software as a service (SaaS) company founded in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2014. The company's product, launched officially in January 2016,[1] is a media intelligence cloud solution, designed to provide users with a quick, comprehensive means of collating available data on their online reputation.

Product

The platform crawls social media channels, news articles, blog posts and forums to extract mentions of the user's chosen "monitor(s)".[2] Observify then returns the collected mentions in the form of a live feed, which updates in real time.

The company provides tools for community management and sentiment analysis, targeting dedicated digital communication professionals, as well as business owners interested in what their users say about them online.[3][4]

History

Observify materialized "after trying several online monitoring tools and not finding one that was simple enough",[5] with the team building it themselves. Users of the platform include diverse organizations, from the Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology[6] to Marimekko[7].

In April 2016, its Live View feature was used at From Business to Buttons,[8] an event focused on sustainability, user experience, and service design. Al Gore was a keynote speaker, with the Live View social media display showcasing approximately 1500 live tweets, Instagram posts, and other mentions.[9] In July, a social media display was created featuring the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games.[10]

On August 31, Observify released a real-time statistics page to visualize the climax of the 2016 transfer deadline window in football.[11]

In the lead-up to the 2016 US presidential election, Observify's social media data was featured by Computer Sweden on November 7. Forecasting Donald Trump's eventual victory, the media outlet asserted that "Trump wins - on social media", supported by statistics provided by Observify.[12]

On the same day, Gamereactor quoted Observify's data while reporting on the video game Overwatch, during the BlizzCon 2016 convention.[13]
