Ofer Shabi (Hebrew: עופר שאבי), (also known as OJ Shabi) is a British Israeli composer, music producer, and sound designer. He has written, produced, and engineered music for various music artists and projects, including film, TV, and theatre productions.

Shabi's clients have included artists such as Diplo, Usher, Lewis Capaldi, Leona Lewis, George Shelley, Lethal Bizzle, the BBC as well as The National Theatre UK.

In 2011, OJ founded Soho Sonic Studios, a recording and production studio in Central London. He has recorded, produced and mixed albums for artists Idris Elba, Toni Romiti, Calum Scott, Dionne Bromfield, Kwabs and Lisa Stansfield.

In 2005 OJ founded The Musician's House, the first live-work recording studios in London, which provides a collaborative space for musicians and engineers. In 2007 he composed and acted as creative director for UPIA Music, a sync and media music production and publishing team in London.

Shabi is currently the head producer and managing director at Soho Sonic Studios and music producer at Make This Noise, an audio branding, music production, and composition company based in the UK. In 2016, OJ collaborated with Yaniv Fridel to form the music production and composing duo known as OJ & Fridel.

In 2021 OJ composed music for the film Life Unexpected, directed by filmmaker Guy Nattiv, as well as the musical ‘’Slippery Slope’’ directed by Yael Ronen at Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin. He also scored ‘’A King for a Term’’, a film written and directed by Idris Elba in 2015.

In 2013 he re-branded NBC Universal audio, tasked with developing a new sonic identity for the channel across 120 countries.

In 2002 Shabi earned his BA in jazz piano and arrangement from the Bill Evans Academy in Paris. He speaks English, Hebrew, and French.
