Miracle Chinanuekpere (born 10 March 1993), better known by his stage name Oga Micky,[1] alias Wavy, is a Nigerian indigenous Igbo rapper, singer and songwriter. He is renowned for rapping in the Igbo language.[2]
Music career[edit]
He started his music career formally in 2014 with songs like "N'ogbe (Hood)", "Onyenku", "Super Story", etc. He became more popular when he featured Bosalin on his hit track titled "Carpenter", which was on everybody's tongue in that moment. He has worked with artists and producers like Slowdog, Jaywillz, Gentle, Flexy W, Switch Carter, Smarshilo, Killertunes, Donseth Beatz, Yuzybeatz, Cnew, 2gentu, Kezyklef, Benjamz, etc. He also collaborated with Jambaze and did cover of Olamide's "Who You Epp Challenge".[3] He set a record in October 2017 by dropping four songs with different genres every week in October of that year and he titled the project Wavetober; Killertunez produced one song on it.[4] In 2016 he won three awards at the Abia Music Awards in three categories; Artiste Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Collaboration. Controversies[edit]
Oga Micky was the talk of the town when he did a freestyle Adim Badder (RuffCoin's Diss);[6] it was a freestyle he did to diss Ruffcoin which got fans talking. In 2017 there was a rumor that he turned down the Abia Music Award nomination he got, that he was not taking part in it because of some issues best known to him; he received four nominations from the award.
