Ogbonnaya Igwe
Professor Ogbonnaya Igwe attended Government College Umuahia in Abia State, Nigeria. He graduated 1994 from the Department of Geology, University of Nigeria, Nsukka before proceeding to Kyoto University Japan for his Masters and then PhD (2006) in Engineering Geology. He heads the "IPL-UNESCO project 150", a disaster control initiative of the International Consortium on Landslides.[1] He stated lecturing at the University of Nigeria in 1997 as a Graduate Assistant now has his office as a professor in the new ultra-modern building which was handed over to the department by Platform Petroleum in 2017.[2]
