Oh Seung-hee (Korean: 오승희; born October 10, 1995), better known as Seunghee (Korean: 승희), is a South Korean singer. She is best known for being the main vocalist of girl group CLC.
Early life[edit]
Seunghee was born and raised in Gwangju Metropolitan City. She has one older brother and one older sister. She attended Seogwang Elementary School and Sangil Middle School in Gwangju. She also attended Seolwol Girls' High School in Gwangju before moving to Seoul and transferring to Cheongdam High School.
Career[edit]
Seunghee was the fifth and last member revealed. She debuted as the main vocalist and leader of CLC on 19 March 2015. CLC debuted with 'Pepe', and 'First Love, CLC's debut EP. On March 6 2016, Seunghee announced on fancafe that she would be stepping down as the group leader. She said it was because after 2 members, Elkie Chong and Kwon Eun-bin were added, she believed that the group should be more solid [1] and fellow member, Seungyeon could lead the group better. She said she would continue to support Seungyeon as the oldest member of the group.
Solo Activities and SNS[edit]
Seunghee has solo Instagram and YouTube accounts, where she has 402K followers and 72.8K subscribers as of December 2021 respectively. She mostly post covers by her on her YouTube channel, 오승희 OH SEUNGHEE. [2] Seunghee has also sang the OST for the drama My Fellow Citizens! titled 'Really Bad Guy (오빠나빠요)' with CLC member Jang Ye-eun and the OST for the drama Be My Boyfriend, titled 'Another Level' with members Seungyeon and Ye-eun. She has posted covers of her covering BTS' 'Butter' and CLC songs among others. She also posted V-logs and Q&As on her YouTube channel, where she has featured members, Seungyeon, Yujin and Sorn, Filipino-American K-beauty YouTuber, Edward Avilla, her elder sister and her niece, Sebin. Her most popular video on YouTube, an English version of her debut song 'Pepe', covered by her and member Sorn, has garnered 252K views.
