Ohio Ambush
Massillon, Ohio residents Michael "Mike" Lovette and Tara Clossman were ambushed and murdered by Shane Varner on August 20, 2016.[1][2][3]

Michael "Mike" Lovette age 33 was in his car outside of his Massillon, Ohio home with his girlfriend Tara Clossman age 25 on August 20, 2016.[4] Shane Varner age 29 the ex-boyfriend of Tara Clossman, had been waiting outside of Lovette's home. As the couple exited the home and entered the car Varner shot them through the rear window of the car. Both Lovette and Clossman died from their injuries. Varner shot himself and died several days later.[5][6][7]
