Ohio Ambush
Massillon, Ohio residents Michael "Mike" Lovette and Tara Clossman were ambushed and murdered by Shane Varner on August 20, 2016.[1][2][3]
Incident
Michael "Mike" Lovette, aged 33, was in his car outside his Massillon, Ohio home with his girlfriend Tara Clossman, aged 25, on August 20, 2016.[4] Shane Varner, aged 29, Tara Clossman's ex-boyfriend, had been waiting outside Lovette's home. As the couple exited the home and entered the car, Varner shot them through the rear window. Both Lovette and Clossman died from their injuries. Varner shot himself and died several days later.[5][6][7]
