Olga Prokopova is an entrepreneur and an investor in the fashion world who is based in Palermo (Sicily). She is the founder and co-founder of the jewelry company Volha Jewelry.
Biography[edit]
Olga Prokopova was born June 6, 1978 in Minsk, where she received a law degree and at the age of 27 moved to Moscow. In Minsk she used to work at private law company and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2005 she started her career at the publishing house Conde Nast as editor of the fashion magazine Glamour Russia. Then in 2008 she moved to the magazine Tatler Russia as editor of jewelry, where she worked for three years with Victoria Davydova. During her career in Conde Nast she visited a lot of fashion shows during the fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, New York as well as the jewellery exhibitions like Basel World The Watch & Jewellery show, The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.
After visiting such museums as MoMa in New York, Paris gallery of impressionist Musée de l'Orangerie, Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía and Dalí Theatre and Museum in Figeras she got an impulse to create the avant-garde jewellery pieces. Her first jewellery pieces was created under the impression of Fauvism of Matisse.[1]

In 2012, she created her own collection of jewelry and founded the jewelry brand Volha Jewelry [2] with craftsmanship production in Italy.
Volha Jewelry is worn by Evelina Khromchenko,[3] Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova, Tina Kandelaki and other it girls.
Later the fashion expert Evelina Khromchenko spoke about a new collection in one of the interviews: "In just a few months, she released the main, as well as two capsule collections. All products were made by hand and in a single copy» [4]
In the same year in December, Olga Prokopova introduced a new product made specifically for the collection of Evelina Khromchenko in the framework of the "Bijour-bazar" project.
In 2013 Olga took part in the Mercedes Benz Fashion week Moscow, where she presented a new collection Volart’i
In 2014 Prokopova expands the range and produces a new collection of "Minerality" made of wood, metal and minerals (with the use of Brazilian agate, amethyst, citrine, malachite, lapis lazuli, tiger eye, turquoise). In addition to jewelry, boxes and clutches appear. Also in 2014, presentation in London in the showroom Valery Demure [5] and the start of sales in Browns
In September, 2014, within the framework of the Vogue Fashion’s Night Out . Olga Prokopova introduced and personally told about her brand and the new collection "Urban" to Alla Verber [6] Vice President of Tsum.
In 2016, in September, a new jewelry collection "Universe" released, which included two themes - jewelry-transformers Infinity and futuristic Stellar.
In January 2017, in connection with the preparation for the creation of the Sicilian collection, Olga Prokopova moved to Palermo, where she studied the history of Sicily, the archetypology and traditions of the Sicilian Mafia. In March 2017 Olga takes part in filming in Sicily for a video lookbook of her jewellery .

In 2014, Olga Prokopova takes part and wins a charitable project on a competitive basis on the occasion of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Florentine brand Braccialini, famous throughout the world for its original bags [7]
