Biography

Olga Prokopova was born on June 6, 1978, in Minsk. She earned a law degree there and, at the age of 27, moved to Moscow. In Minsk, she worked at a private law firm and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Since 2005, she began her career at the publishing house Condé Nast as editor of the fashion magazine Glamour Russia. Then, in 2008, she transitioned to Tatler Russia as editor of jewellery, where she worked for three years with Victoria Davydova. During her time at Condé Nast, she attended numerous fashion shows during fashion weeks in Milan, Paris, and New York, as well as jewellery exhibitions such as Basel World The Watch & Jewellery show, The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie, and the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show.

After visiting museums such as MoMA in New York, the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris, the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía, and the Dalí Theatre and Museum in Figueres, she felt inspired to create avant-garde jewellery pieces. Her first jewellery pieces were created under the impression of Matisse's Fauvism. [1]

Volha Jewelry is worn by Evelina Khromchenko, Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova, Tina Kandelaki, and other fashion influencers.

In 2014, Prokopova expanded her range, producing a new "Minerality" collection made of wood, metal, and minerals (including Brazilian agate, amethyst, citrine, malachite, lapis lazuli, tiger's eye, turquoise). In addition to jewellery, boxes and clutches were also produced. Also in 2014, she presented in London at the Valery Demure showroom [4] and started sales at Browns.

In September 2014, during Vogue Fashion’s Night Out, Olga Prokopova introduced her brand and a new "Urban" collection to Alla Verber, Vice President of TSUM. [5]

In September 2016, a new jewellery collection, "Universe," was released, including the "Infinity" and "Stellar" themes.

In January 2017, Olga Prokopova moved to Palermo to prepare for a Sicilian collection, studying Sicilian history, archetypes, and traditions. In March 2017, she filmed a jewellery lookbook in Sicily.
