Olga Ravoahangimalala Ramilijaona was a Malagasy biologist and professor at the University of Antananarivo.
Life and research[edit]
Ramilijaona was head of the Zoology department at the University of Antananarivo.[1] The volume 'Les vers à soie malgaches' (the silkworms of Madagascar), edited by François Verheggen, Jan Bogaert, and Éric Haubruge, was dedicated to the memory of Ramilijaona.[2]
Matronyms[edit]
In 2012, the frog species Platypelis olgae was named in honour of Ramilijaona, aunt of first author Andolalao Rakotoarison.[1]
