Olumide M. Gbenru
Olumide Michael Gbenru is a Nigerian sports writer and digital nomad. He is the founder and producer of The Digital Nomad Summit based in Indonesia.[1][2][3][4] Gbenru is a multilingual speaker fluent in several foreign languages and the first digital nomad to appear on Indonesian national television.[5]
Background and career
Gbenru was born in Nigeria and moved to the United States when he was in secondary school, with an interest in sport.[6] He earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Ohio University where he was a long jump and triple jump specialist in track and field. After graduation from university, his interest in a professional sports career waned and he redirected his focus to entrepreneurship. Later, he founded The Digital Nomad Summit, an online platform where entrepreneurs from across the globe meet to exchange ideas and network with fellow entrepreneurs.[7][8]
