Olusegun Mojeed Johnson (born on 8 February) is a Nigerian actor, film-maker, producer and businessman. He recently produced a 5 Million Naira budget movie titled Ija Ekun, which was directed by veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Muyiwa Ademola.
Early life
He was born in Kaduna, northern part of Nigeria. He is however an indigene of Odogbolu, Ogun State. He attended Army Primary School in Kaduna, and after a few years in northern Nigeria, his family moved to Ogun State and Lagos State respectively, where he had his secondary school education. He is a graduate of Ibadan Polytechnic, where he studied accountancy and is an associate of the Chartered Accountant of Nigeria.
In his early years, he had a passion for movie acting, which prompted him to join a theater group in his school. Through that theater group, he was able to learn the ins and outs of the profession, though his parents did not support his movie acting decision. He had more passion for Theater Arts in tertiary institution than Accountancy. However, during his NYSC days, he joined the NYSC drama group, where he was able to gain more experience.
Personal life
Olusegun Johnson is married to his longtime friend, Temitope Johnson[1] with three children.
Career
The movie Ija Ekun was released in February 2017. The movie was nominated for screening at the 2017 City People Awards[2] and Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards 2017.[3] The movie is a 5 Million Naira budget project, with A-List casts such as legendary Nollywood actor Jide Kosoko, Muyiwa Ademola, Bolanle Ninolowo, Ayo Adesanya, Taiwo Ibikunle, Temitope Johnson and many others. The movie is executive produced by his mentor, role model and dearest brother, Muyiwa Ademola.
He is also a businessman with investments in the oil and gas business. Olusegun Johnson is the CEO of Segtop MultiGlobal Investment Limited with a subsidiary movie production company.
