Omar Banos, who performs under the stage name Cuco, is a Mexican-American recording artist from Hawthorne, California.[1]

Early Life[edit]


Banos, at the age of 17, geared up for his first release in early January, 2015 under the moniker of Cuco. The title of his earliest released on the internet is Heavy Trip EP. On SoundCloud, the earliest song he released on the platform is a song called, "Yeah". Since then he has released several EPs and mixtapes he has released several on both platforms - Soundcloud being the most recent.

Career[edit]

Cuco has played live shows throughout venues in the Los Angeles area including selling out The Smell in June of 2017. He has also played festivals in the area including, Beach Goth Music Festival. His shows have brought other well-known local young musicians including members of The Internet, Kevin Abstract, and Steve Lacy. He also performed in the 2018 edition of the FYF Fest.

Cuco also performed in the 2018 edition of the FYF Fest.

Cuco has amassed 143K followers on Soundcloud, and 201K on Twitter his account. He also has a verified account on Instagram with more than 687k followers. His YouTube channel is still climbing with 483K subscribers.
