Omasan Ogisi

Omasan Ogisi (born 5 March 1976) is a Nigerian marketing and communications professional who is currently serving as General Manager, Corporate Affairs MTN Nigeria.[1][2]

Education and career[edit]

Ogisi obtained her first degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria in 2000. She earned a master’s degree in Business and Information Technology from Westminster Business School in 2002 and received Corporate Executive Education in Organisational Leadership from Boston University in 2012.[3][4]

Her career in telecommunications started in 2003 at Ericsson Nigeria as a VAS Specialist (Prepaid Services). She became a Business Analyst in 2005 and rose to the position of a Senior Consultant in 2007 where she managed advisory services to telecommunication operators and delivered one of the largest global 3G go-to-market program. In 2009, She was appointed Manager, Marketing and Communications and rose to the rank of Regional Communications Manager, Ericsson West Africa in 2010 delivering a 200% increase in corporate visibility for the Ericsson brand.[5] In the same year 2010, Ogisi was appointed Director, Media and Public Relations where she led the award-winning community power solutions and a regional service centre launch. She remained in this position until 2012, when she became Ericsson,s Head of Communications managing 43 sub-Saharan African countries. She left Ericsson in 2016 as Head, Sustainability & Corporate Responsibility, Sub-Saharan region. She joined MTN Nigeria as General Manager, Corporate Affairs, MTN Nigeria in 2016.[6]
