The project was also taken envisioning environmental development and improved air quality.[5]

Products and Operations

Omera distributes LPG in bottled packaging, and the consumers Omera serves are segmented into Household, Commercial, and Industrial. The cylinders that are used are manufactured by Omera Cylinders Limited, and the cylinders are colored with Omera’s iconic color combination of green, red, and often glossy grey. The green used as a color for the cylinders is fluorescent, denoting the fuel nature of the product in them.
Naturally, an Omera cylinder’s size varies from 5kg to 45kg. Among them, 12kg cylinders are mostly used for household purposes. 5kg cylinders are mostly for portable fuel solutions, and the rest are for commercial and industrial purposes. Omera also provides reticulation gas connections in households where the cylinders are connected, maintaining safe distances from the households, especially in apartments of urban areas of Bangladesh.
Autogas is also one of the ventures of Omera LPG, where LPG is available for fuel solutions for automobiles and LPG-enabled vehicles.
The scale of operations of Omera has been expanded from national to global in 2020 by Omera Cylinders Ltd. exporting cylinders in African regions.[9]
Distribution
The distribution of Omera LPG follows a process consisting of two phases: the first is bulk LPG transport, and the other is bottled LPG distribution. Mongla, for being the most capacitive storage, is the primary reception point of imported LPG, from where the LPG gets distributed in both waterways and on land.
Bottling Plants and Storage

There are four plants incorporated by Omera regarding bottling LPG in cylinders. Of them, Mongla LPG Import, Bottling, and Storage, the plant located in the Mongla Port Industrial area, is the primary hub for bottling LPG. The other plants are Ghorashal Satellite Terminal & Bottling Station: Ghorashal, Narshingdi, Bogura Satellite, and Bottling Station: Bogura, Mirsarai Satellite, and Bottling Station: Mirsarai, Chattagram. The capacity of storage in Mongla is approximated by 6,000,000 liters. The satellite stations in Ghorashal have 1,800,000 liters of capacity, and the other two have 1,400,000 liters of storage capacity each.

M.T Omera Princess, capacitating 300 mt LPG gas, pioneered the river-route LPG distribution channels in Bangladesh. Later, M.T Omera King and M.T Omera Glory, capacitating 350 mt LPG, join in with the previous one, enhancing the LPG distribution capacity of Omera LPG throughout Bangladesh.
