OnePredict is a B2B industrial artificial intelligence startup in South Korea founded in October 2016 by ByengDong Youn, an adjunct professor in Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University. It has built the world's first solution for diagnosing the operation status of turbines in thermal power plants with artificial intelligence based on deep learning.[1]

OnePredict provides a predictive maintenance (PdM) software solution that diagnoses and predicts the condition of industrial facilities based on a technology called Industrial Artificial Intelligence (IAI) that combines domain knowledge and artificial intelligence. It is now expanding its business by developing solutions for process optimization in addition to the predictive maintenance of facilities.[2]

OnePredict’s GuardiOne® solution can be categorized into two procedures which are data collection and data analysis. In the first phase, the solution collects and refines structured data such as vibration, electric current, speed, and temperature signals from major industrial facilities (motors, turbines, bearings, rotating bodies, etc.) operated by power plants, petrochemical companies, and manufacturers, and unstructured data such as operation/maintenance history. Consequently, it analyzes the collected data with a unique IAI algorithm to diagnose the health of the facility, predict the condition and remaining life, and provide root cause analysis and recommended action of the abnormality/defect. GuardiOne can be applied to various industries and facilities in manufacturing, energy, power distribution, oil and gas, and semiconductor fields.

OnePredict has a history of funding as following:

  • Attracted KRW 15 billion (USD 15 million) Series B funding from investors including S-Oil in 2020[3]
  • Selected as one of the top 15 companies to foster ‘Global ICT Future Unicorn’ hosted by the RoK Ministry of Science and ICT in 2020[4]
  • Attracted KRW 4 billion (USD 4 million) Series A investment in 2019[5]
