One Cool Friend is a children's picture book written by Tony Buzzeo, with pictures by David Small. Published in 2012 by Dial Books, it is about Elliot, a "very proper young man" and his small pet penguin. It was the recipient of a 2013 Caldecott Honor. This book served as Small's second Caldecott Honor Book (after The Gardener by his wife Sarah Stewart which won the Caldecott Honor in 1998).
