One Possible Option (sometimes abbreviated as OPO) is a Croatian rock band formed in Rijeka, Croatia, in 2011 by guitarist Zdravko Kasapović and his son, the singer Deni Kasapović, with Dejan Adamović joining in on drums and Edvin Nađ on bass guitar. The sound of the band can best be described as alternative rock with electronic rock, industrial rock and modern rock influences, and the band is sometimes compared to bands like Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, but also because of the modern approach to bands like the Editors and Imagine Dragons.[1]

History[edit]

Origins and formation (2008–2011)[edit]

One Possible Option's origins began with another rock band from Rijeka, Croatia, called The Stuff. The Stuff was a band that released three albums between 1993 and 2002 in Croatia, and the last line-up of the band was comprised of current members of One Possible Option, Zdravko Kasapović on guitar, Deni Kasapović on guitar, Edvin Nađ on bass and Dejan Adamović on the drums, along with the singer Dragan Parmać. Once The Stuff disbanded. The four of them decided to start a new project writing lyrics in English, with Deni taking up the lead singer role and taking up the name One Possible Option after playing a couple shows also under the name The Channel.

First recordings, touring and hiatus (2012–2017)[edit]

After writing their first materials in on a promo cd titled Hey You that was shared on concerts in 2012, the band spent the following two years touring Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Germany, Italy and Switzerland which resulted in a deal with a German record label Setalight Records and the release of One Possible Option's first EP titled ''My Name is Uncreature'' in 2013, which was also released as part of a split album with a german band Samavayo titled ''From East to West and Back Again''. In 2014 the band released their second EP titled ''I'' for the Croatian label OSAmedia. One Possible Option was active as a live band up until 2015, when the band decided to take a short break.

Reunion and first album (2017–present)[edit]

Following the break the band regrouped and set out to work on their first album ''No King'' . The process took a bit more time, since the band decided to write and record the album in their own studio, and focus on defining the sound aesthetic and songwriting process fully. And in 2019, after finishing the album, One Possible Option set out to play a short tour in Croatia that culminated with the band getting voted by public and critics to play on the main stage of the 2019 edition of InMusic Festival in Zagreb, on the last day of the festival, sharing the stage with LP and The Cure. Not very soon after that, OPO signed a record deal with Croatia Records[2], and in the summer of 2020 releases the first singles ''All We Do Today'' and ''Erase'', followed shortly after with the album ''No King'' which was received to great critical acclaim in Croatia.
